BG Freight Line reinstates weekly Greenock-Rotterdam service

BG Freight Line has reinstated a weekly container service between the Port of Greenock and Rotterdam, providing Scottish exporters with a regular connection to one of Europe’s main shipping hubs. The weekly call resumed on 19 September and will be operated by the 1,002-TEU BG Emerald and BG Jade , which will alternate on the route. Through Rotterdam, customers will be able to connect with wider global shipping networks. Weekly service strengthens Scottish export links Peel Ports Group said the reinstated service provides exporters with greater certainty by offering a guaranteed weekly sailing from Greenock. The company expects the connection to benefit a range of Scottish exporters, with independent whisky producers among the sectors targeted by the service.
