Arizona police recover $400K in stolen cargo during stops 20 minutes apart

A stolen-load alert in northern Arizona led investigators to roughly $400,000 in recovered cargo across two interstates. Detective Curtis Peery of the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office received notice that a stolen shipment was traveling through the region. He began searching Interstate 40 and located the suspected trailer. Peery then sent identifying information to the company for verification. The company confirmed the trailer and alerted Peery to another stolen load near Phoenix.
