APM Terminals Aarhus and Port of Aalborg launch new rail service

APM Terminals Aarhus and the Port of Aalborg have launched a new weekly rail service connecting the two Danish ports. The new connection gives companies in Northern Jutland direct rail access to Denmark’s largest container terminal in Aarhus. From there, cargo can connect with international shipping networks. The service also provides an alternative to the existing direct feeder connection between Aalborg and Hamburg. According to the Port of Aalborg, the partnership aims to provide companies with more transport options.

YILPORT to invest €100 million in Leixões container terminal expansion

YILPORT will invest €100 million to expand and modernise the North Container Terminal at the Port of Leixões in Portugal. The investment plan was presented during Porto Maritime Week by the Port of Leixões and YILPORT Iberia. According to the port authority, the project will increase container handling capacity and improve operating conditions at the terminal. The investment will also support greater efficiency and strengthen the competitiveness of Leixões. North Container Terminal set for expansion The project includes the expansion and modernisation of the North Container Terminal.
