CMA CGM updates peak season surcharges on Red Sea and South Africa trades

CMA CGM has announced changes to its Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) on shipments from North Europe to the Red Sea and from Asia to South Africa and Mauritius. The French carrier will apply a downward adjustment to its PSS from North Europe to the Red Sea from 1 September 2026. At the same time, CMA CGM will introduce a PSS of US$100 per TEU from Asia to South Africa and Mauritius from 20 August. North Europe to Red Sea PSS set at US$500 From 1 September 2026, based on the loading date, CMA CGM will apply a PSS of US$500 per container on shipments from North Europe to the Red Sea. The surcharge applies to all cargo except out-of-gauge (OOG) shipments.
